David A Wilson
David Wilson was born in 1954 of mixed British, Scots and Scandinavian origins. He was educated at Greenshaw High School, in Surrey, England, Specialising in the History of Art, ancient English Literature, technical drawing, sculpture and painting. He served in C Squadron (The Sharpshooters), The Royal Yeomanry. He moved to France in 1977 and became interested in both the civil and military history of the Ancien Régime including spending several years as a historical reenactor, specialising in eighteenth century recreations for historical sites. He retired from full time work in June 2019 to devote more time to historical research and writing.
