A warm welcome to Underground Strategy Press (UGS Press), and our collaboration with our partner, Helion & Company. Our goal is to tell the stories that often go unheard—the human stories of those who have faced conflict and uncertainty, often against overwhelming odds.

We champion the underdog: the ignored leader, the undiscovered strategist, the political dissenter, the overlooked: innovator, musician, humanitarian, and writer in the field—as well as many more. Their struggles may unfold on the battlefield, in diplomatic corridors, in post-conflict recovery, or behind the scenes in dark, dusty studies—after the fact—trying to make sense of what had happened. But the common thread is always the same: courage in the face of adversity.

This series is for readers drawn to original voices—and we seek life writing that breaks convention: memoirs, biographies, and personal reflections that confront both inner and outer battles. We also welcome broader narratives—campaigns, wars, histories, and critical analyses—but these should always be grounded in the lives of the people who shaped them.
