Sergey Tupchiy
Sergey Tupchiy was born in 1965 in Mariupol, Ukraine. He completed his secondary education at a physics-and-maths boarding school in Kyiv before graduating from the Kyiv Military Aviation Engineering Academy. After serving for 11 years in Soviet and Russian naval aviation, he returned to his hometown of Mariupol, where he ran a successful home interiors business for over 20 years. He lived through the first two months of the Russian siege of Mariupol in 2022 before escaping through Crimea and Georgia. He eventually reunited with his family in Europe; they now reside in Scotland.
