Robert Davidson
Dr Robert Davidson grew up in Natal and has explored and studied the battlefields of the South African War most of his life. He worked as a physician, specialising in in Infectious Diseases, and after retiring he has focussed on the battles of the Upper Tugela, including Spion Kop (Spioenkop). His research methods have been battlefield archaeology combined with personal eyewitness accounts from Boer and British participants.
