Ralph Riccio
Ralph Riccio is a retired US Army officer who has had a life-long interest in military history, with a focus on Italian military history. He has authored or co-authored numerous books and magazine articles dealing with Italian as well as Irish military subjects. A native Italian speaker, he is actively involved in translating texts by various Italian authors from Italian to English. In 1981 he was awarded an honorary Italian knighthood. Born in Connecticut, he has travelled extensively throughout Europe and Southeast Asia while in the army and while later working for the Department of Defense and now resides in rural Pennsylvania.
