Douglas Eaglesham
Douglas Eaglesham is a former British Army soldier whose 25‑year career with the Royal Signals included twelve years attached to 22 SAS as a Special Forces Communicator. His operational experience gives him a unique insight into the realities of Service, enabling him to interpret and reconstruct his father Matthew’s time with the Scots Guards with authenticity and empathy. He has conducted extensive research into the North African, Italian and Naval campaigns of World War Two, combining military knowledge with a deep understanding of Ayrshire’s landscape, culture and history, and his work reflects the quiet resilience of ordinary veterans and their families.
