Bruno Dotto
Bruno Dotto was born in Mestre, near Venice, Italy on 6 April 1946. Linguist, Philologist, and student of Archaeological Investigation of the Ancient Roman Period in Upper Italy. Dotto turned to the study of military uniforms and history of the 18th and 19th centuries and is an avid, self-taught researcher "in the field”, and in archives. Besides his work in Italian on Solferino, Accadde a Solferino, he self-published, Le Armate del 1859 (The Armies of 1859 in 2016) as well as other two works specifically on Austrian rifles of the period. His latest work to release in the spring of 2023 is on the Battle of Magenta, Accadde a Magenta.
