Serb Krajina forces, comprising of Army, Territorial Defence police, militia and different paramilitaries, fought in the war in Yugoslavia (Croatia) 1991 to 1995. They belonged to self-proclaimed Republic of Serb Krajina which existed in the same period. Serb Krajina forces was built on equipment and personnel left from Yugoslav People’s Army, since its withdrawal in spring 1992. After initial success in establishing control over Krajina, formally part of Croatia in 1991, during period between 1993 and 1995, Serb Krajina army mostly suffered defeats from surprise Croatian Army attacks. Finally, in two large-scale offensives in May and August 1995, Croatian forces defeated Serb Krajina forces. Together with its people, Serb Krajina Army withdraw from Krajina and ceased to exist shortly after. This volume explains the creation of Serb forces in Krajina, personnel, equipment and combat operations, shortcoming and problems which caused its final defeat.
