Very good condition overall. Dust jacket has some light creasing and minor wear to corners and spine ends, including a small crease/tear to the upper jacket edge. Boards are clean and sound. Internally clean and well bound throughout. A very presentable copy.

Requiem for Battleship Yamato is one of the most famous Japanese naval memoirs of the Second World War, written by survivor Yoshida Mitsuru. The book recounts the final mission and destruction of the battleship Yamato during Operation Ten-Go in April 1945, one of the last major naval engagements of the Pacific War.
Originally written shortly after the war, Yoshida’s account combines eyewitness testimony with reflection on the collapse of Imperial Japan and the sacrifice of the Yamato’s crew. The narrative provides rare insight into the experiences and mindset of Japanese naval officers during the closing stages of the conflict.
