Condition
Good condition for its age. The original card covers show general rubbing, surface marking and shelf wear, with additional wear around the edges, corners and spine. A previous owner’s name stamp appears on the front cover and internally, and a bookseller’s barcode label is attached to the rear cover. The binding appears sound, while the pages are generally clean with light age-related toning. No highlighting or extensive annotation is visible in the pages examined. Please refer to the supplied photographs for the book’s exact condition.

Volume 15, Issue 3 of Zeitschrift für Historische Forschung, the German-language quarterly journal devoted to research into the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern period. Published in Berlin by Duncker & Humblot in 1988 and edited by Johannes Kunisch, Klaus Luig, Peter Moraw and Volker Press.
The principal articles include Nicolette Mout’s study of Frederick V of the Palatinate in exile and his relationship with the Dutch States General between 1621 and 1632, and Barbara Stollberg-Rilinger’s examination of commerce, aristocratic values and restrictions upon trade by the German nobility from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries. Further sections cover medieval medical history, the 1983 Luther anniversary and a substantial collection of scholarly book reviews. German text throughout.
