A substantial catalogue of the surviving reference library of the Brandenburg-Prussian Royal House Archive, compiled by Herzeleide Henning. The volume records material from the library that escaped destruction in 1943 and subsequently entered the holdings of the Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz.
Its systematically arranged entries cover the margraves and electors of Brandenburg, the Hohenzollern rulers, Frederick William the Great Elector, Frederick the Great and the succeeding kings and German emperors through Wilhelm II. Additional sections cover the wider Brandenburg-Prussian dynasty, members of the royal family, the nobility, surviving miscellaneous collections and the archive’s picture collection. An extensive author index completes this valuable reference work for researchers of Prussian, German, royal and military history.
