A facsimile reference work listing officers who served in the Royalist and Parliamentary forces during the English Civil War. The volume includes officers of the King’s and Parliamentary armies in 1642, the ships and officers of the Parliamentary Fleet, officers in the Earl of Northumberland’s army during the Scots War of 1640, English and Scottish officers who served with the Prince of Orange in the Low Countries, Royalist prisoners captured at the Battle of Naseby, and the principal officers of the New Model Army under Sir Thomas Fairfax.
Edited by Edward Peacock and supplied with an index, this 1983 Ken Trotman limited-edition facsimile reproduces the revised, corrected and enlarged second edition originally published in 1874. A useful genealogical and military reference for research into officers and units of the British Civil Wars.
