Original red cloth boards with gilt decoration and titles. Boards show notable age-related wear, staining, rubbing and fading with bumped corners and wear to spine ends. Inner hinges cracked with separation visible and weakness to binding at front and rear. Endpapers damaged with losses and splitting present. Page edges darkened with age but contents remain generally clean with light foxing and age toning. Fold-out maps and illustrations remain present. A complete reading/reference copy with binding faults noted.
