Very Good in good dust jacket. Hardcover with original dust jacket. The binding is firm and sound with clean boards and light shelf wear. The dust jacket shows age-related edge wear, rubbing and a few small chips, but remains complete. Internally clean with light age toning and occasional spotting. One page has a small triangular loss to the upper outer corner, clear of the text and not affecting readability. Overall a well-preserved copy.

Third impression (September 1944) of Adventures of a Boer Family by Victor Pohl, published by Faber & Faber.
In this autobiographical work, Victor Pohl recounts his childhood and family life in South Africa during and after the Second Boer War. Through vivid personal recollections, he describes life on the veld, the effects of the conflict on Boer families, imprisonment, education, and the changing political landscape of South Africa during the early twentieth century.
The volume includes a map and offers an engaging first-hand perspective on Boer society and the aftermath of the war, making it an appealing title for collectors of Boer War history and South African memoirs.
