Thomas Greenshields
Tom Greenshields has a PhD from the University of Durham, on the settlement of Armenian refugees in Syria and Lebanon 1915-1939, his doctoral thesis being published in Beirut in 2025, 46 years after completion! Tom spent the bulk of his career in M.O.D., taking early retirement in 2008. He also served for eight years in the Territorial Army. His first book, ‘Those Bloody Kilts; the Highland Soldier in the Great War’ was published in 2019 and won a runner up prize for best first book from the Society for Army Historical Research. He speaks quite frequently to the Western Front Association.
