Stephen Keoghane
Stephen Keoghane joined the Royal Wessex Yeomanry in 1994 and served for twenty-two years as the regimental medical officer, soldiering in Europe, the USA and Afghanistan. He skied and played polo for his regiment and left the yeomanry as a lieutenant colonel in 2016. As a consultant surgeon and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England he has published extensively in scientific journals but in recent years has diversified into writing military history and is now a regular contributor to a variety of well-known magazines. The RMO is his fourth book; his first with Helion. He lives in rural Suffolk with his family and cocker spaniel.
