Robert Davidson
Dr. Robert Davidson grew up in Natal and has explored and studied the battlefields of the South African War most of his life. He worked as a physician, specialising in in Infectious Diseases, and after retiring he has focussed on the battles of the Upper Tugela. He is the author of The Spioenkop Campaign: The Battles to Relieve Ladysmith, 17-27 January 1900 (2023). His research methods have been battlefield archaeology combined with personal eyewitness accounts from Boer and British participants.
