Peter G.A. Phillips
Peter G.A. Phillips is a veteran of 27 years in the British Army Intelligence Corps, including working as a Russian, German, and Serbo-Croat linguist, thereafter spending five years as part of a Civil Service team training British Armed Forces personnel to serve in UK diplomatic missions. He is now retired and spends his time translating Russian military histories of the Coalition Wars. His published translations include: Mikhailovsky-Danilevsky’s histories of the wars of 1805 and 1806–1807; a collaboration with renowned Napoleonic historian Dr Alexander Mikaberidze of Ilya Radozhitskii’s trilogy of memoirs covering 1812–1814; and numerous articles for the Waterloo Association’s www.napoleon-series.org archive website. Peter now lives in the Philippines with his Filipina wife of 34 years. They have two adult daughters.
