Mark Rowe is a journalist from the United Kingdom. He is the author of Don’t Panic, a history of Britain’s preparation for invasion in 1940, and of August 1914; England in the watershed month at the start of the First World War. He has also authored The Victory Tests, a history of the unofficial England-Australia Test series of 1945, and three other works of English cricket history. This is his first instalment for Helion’s @War series.
