Jerome J. Platt
Jerome J. Platt is the author of 18 other volumes. A dozen of these are works published by academic publishers-Harvard, Yale, Wiley-Interscience, MacMillan, Spink, etc. In the last two decades, he has written five works on British military history and medallic history: (1) The Whitewash Brigade: The Hong Kong Plague of 1894 (London: Dix Noonan Webb, 1998), (2) The English Civil Wars: Medals, Historical Commentary & Personalities (2 vols.) (London: Spink, 2014), (3) British Historical Medals of the 17th Century: Medallists, Books, Authors, Collectors, Booksellers & Antiquaries (London: Spink, 2017), (4) Here We Make Italy or We Die": The Medals of Giuseppe Garibaldi, the Risorgimento and Modern Italy ((London: Spink, 2018). (5) Medals of Tudor England and Scotland in the British Museum (London: Spink, 2021). He is currently completing a work on the men of the Battle of Diên-Biên-Phu.
