Volume 1 covers the background to the conflict, the organisation and equipment of Dominican armed forces, the outbreak of civil war, and the opening phase of the US intervention.
Volume 2 continues the day-by-day operational history of the fighting and examines the multinational peacekeeping mission under the Inter-American Peacekeeping Force (IAPF), including the roles of Brazilian and other Latin American contingents, through to the withdrawal of foreign forces in 1966.
