Dr Gavin Hughes
Dr Gavin Hughes is an author, broadcaster and military historian/archaeologist, specialising on the Irish and British military experience and tradition. He has written and lectured widely on the 1798 United Irish campaigns throughout the island of Ireland and, in particular, the role of all of those involved and the internecine nature of the warfare. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and Royal Geographical Society and currently Director of the Irish Conflict Archaeology Network at the Centre for Medieval & Renaissance Studies, Trinity College Dublin.
