Overview

Helion & Company Limited (Helion) agrees to provide you, the customer, with information and other services that we may decide to offer, subject to the terms of this agreement. We reserve the right to modify this agreement at any time. You agree and continue to agree to use our services in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the policies and guidelines outlined below.

Online Orders

We reserve the right not to accept any order.

Prices and other information about any books listed on this website may change without notice.

The price displayed on our website when ordering any title from us will apply.

All prices and details of items listed are correct to the best of our knowledge. Helion reserves the right to amend the price, or any other information, relating to any product listed on our site without prior notice.

Delivery & Shipping

We will deliver to almost anywhere in the world. The likely shipping time for your order will be advised at the time of purchase. Should we have to re-arrange delivery of items due to incorrect address information, or for any other reason not due to Helion, additional shipping charges are liable to be paid by you. See FAQs for further details.

Please note that tracked shipping can be selected at checkout (at additional cost). Normal shipping is not tracked and tracking information will therefore not be available. Please note that tracked shipping cannot be delivered to PO boxes.

If your parcel is lost in transit, we are prepared to re-send your goods on one occasion. Despatch of replacements will only take place after clarifying your full postal address. If your original address was incomplete or incorrect or you were unavailable to take delivery of the goods, we will not bear the cost of re-sending your order. If you have already had an order 'lost in the post' we reserve the right to refuse further orders placed without tracked shipping being selected.

Taxes & Duties

You are responsible for paying any and all duties and taxes imposed on the package in your country. These charges are controlled by your country and Helion & Company Limited is not responsible for imposing them, and has no way to mitigate these. Please note the following:

1. In the UK books are currently zero-rated for VAT purposes, so we do not add VAT to books.

2. Helion is not liable for any taxes/duties including VAT due to be paid by you as per your country’s policy.

2. If an item is returned to us due to non-acceptance by you, we will deduct any tax/duty we pay upon receiving the return and refund the remaining amount.

Payment by Credit/Debit Card

Helion accepts payment via the following:- MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit, American Express, Maestro, PayPal.

Other Acceptable Payment Methods

We also accept cheques or postal orders in pounds sterling drawn on a UK bank made payable to “Helion & Company Limited”. Should cheque payments be returned unpaid by the payee’s bank we will charge a £20 administration fee to cover our expenses. Immediate settlement of outstanding debts via a valid method of payment will also be required.

Returns Policy

Returns policy for physical goods (i.e. printed books, etc.):

All customers purchasing from Helion have a 14 day 'cooling-off' period in which you can change your mind (for any reason), cancel your order and then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. The 'cooling-off' period starts the day after you receive the goods from us. Notification that you wish to cancel and return goods to us must be received via email or letter; a phone call is not sufficient. When returning goods to us please obtain proof of posting or send via an insured method of shipping. We will issue a refund within 30 days of receiving your cancellation notice. We will not refund the cost of originally posting the item to you, nor that incurred by you in returning the item to us. We request that every care is taken in packaging the goods as well as possible so that they reach us in best condition.

Returns policy for digital products (i.e. eBooks, paid-for downloads etc.):

Customers purchasing downloads no longer have the right to cancel after they have downloaded their chosen product(s).

Returning Damaged Items

Should you receive items from Helion which reach you in a damaged condition, you are entitled to return them for a full refund, or a like-for-like replacement. If requesting a refund, you will be refunded in full for the cost of the item, and all reasonable associated postage costs. However, please contact us before returning damaged items to us so we can advise a suitable method of delivery. If requesting a like-for-like replacement, we will despatch on receipt of the damaged item(s).
