Tim Jenkins
Dr Tim Jenkins is a historian and independent heritage consultant specialising in the historic built environment, collections management, and large object conservation. Tim advises museums, conservation charities, and higher education establishments and has extensive experience of the cultural sector where he has held curatorial, professorial and senior management positions. He has a particular passion for preservation of historic aviation. Publications include a contributory chapter on puritanism and its influence in societal and religious innovation in Ismini Pells (ed.) New Approaches to the Military History of the English Civil War (2016); a contributory chapter on the hunger winter of 1944 in the highly acclaimed John Buckley & Peter Preston-Hough (eds.) Operation Market Garden: The Campaign for the Low Countries 70 Years On (2018); and a contributory chapter concerning the management of twentieth-century military archaeology in Tim Jenkins & Rachael Abbiss (eds.) Fortress Salopia: Exploring Shropshire’s Military History from the Prehistoric Period to the Twentieth Century (2017).
