This is the first volume of a two volume set. The book includes an incredible 88 pages of colour images besides 600 b/w photos and 80 pages of scale line drawings AND a separate 40-page map book in colour! Volume 1 covers the years 1942 and 1943 and Volume 2 will cover years 1944 and 1945. The text includes technical development of the tank and a combat history of each Tiger unit. Each of the battalions numbered 501-511 the three Waffen-SS battalions (including when they were organic Tiger companies in the Waffen-SS divisions) the Grossdeutschland Tiger battalion and the various independent companies are covered. This set will be the most comprehensive source to date on the history of the Tiger I.
