Latin America@War Series

Latin America@War Series

Over the last 100 years, there were numerous armed conflicts in Latin America, or Latin American militaries became involved in armed conflicts in other parts of the world. While conventional wars between states remained relatively rare, a large number of insurgencies, foreign military interventions, military mutinies, and other types of armed uprisings erupted in different countries.

Through coverage of topics like CIA’s operations in Cuba and Guatemala, conventional wars like between Bolivia and Paraguay, or the coup against President Salvador Allende of Chile in 1973, the Latin America@War series is offering in-depth studies of military history. Each volume is focusing on military organisations, equipment, capabilities and intentions, strategy and tactics – and presenting these against geographic and socioeconomic backdrop in order to explain reasons for conflicts in question.

The Latin America@War series is richly illustrated with exclusive photography, maps of relevant geographic areas and specific combat operations, and detailed colour profiles of heavy equipment deployed. Resulting volumes are thus providing unique and indispensable sources of reference.

The publishers would be pleased to receive submissions for this series. Please contact series editor Tom Cooper via email (tom@acig.info), or in writing to Helion & Company Limited, 26 Willow Road, Solihull, West Midlands, B91 1UE.
